BRITISH BORN, GLOBALLY ACCLAIMED
Nothing short of exceptional
Life is for celebrating
Ridgeview has been at the forefront of the recent evolution of Classic Method English Sparkling Wine production. A second-generation family company situated in the South Downs National Park producing world class sparkling wines.
In 2010, Ridgeview became the first winemaker from outside of Champagne to win the overall Best Sparkling Wine in the World at the Decanter World Wine Awards. More recently, Ridgeview has been crowned the English Wine Producer of the year and the Intentional Winemaker of the year at IWSC 2018 and has won an enviable chain of awards for their outstanding and characterful wines.
When even the Queen herself turns to Ridgeview to impress her guests, you know you're drinking well.
Two time ‘Winery of the Year’ Winners
Wiston Estate has been owned and managed by the Goring family since 1743. Its 6,000 acres straddle the chalky slopes of the South Downs and the flat clay soils of the Weald. The Wiston Estate Vineyard is situated on the south facing chalk slopes of the South Downs in West Sussex.
Wiston’s winemaker, Dermot Sugrue chose a traditional Coquard Press, which is one of only four outside France and is unique to the UK. Dermot is the scientific artist who has honed the unique flavours of Wiston wine. His unwavering commitment to purity and a desire to express the terroir of the vineyard have helped Wiston to win some of the most prestigious industry awards - such as a Platinum, Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2019 and Winery of the Year in 2018 and in 2020.

Pioneers of premium winemaking
With roots firmly planted in the local Sussex community, the Bolney Estate continues to help forge and shape the booming English Wine industry, with their grapes grown and hand-crafted into award-winning wines from their impressive 104 acre vineyard in the beautiful Sussex countryside.
Mastermind Managing Director and Head Winemaker at Bolney Wine Estate, Sam Linter’s philosophy is simple, “Our mission is to produce delicious artisanally made quality wines.” With a host of accolades under their belt, including the UK Wine Award’s Winery of the Year 2017, Bolney aren't just one of the oldest, they're one of the best.
One of England's finest and most respected producers
When 10,000 bottles of Balfour Brut Rosé, made from the first harvest in 2004, won a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge in 2008, the Estate was officially on the wine map and there was no turning back. An exciting journey to create England’s finest wine had begun.
Over the following years Richard Balfour formed a team of experts in the field who in turn assisted him with creating a state-of-the-art Winery and tasting room on the Hush Heath Estate, which opened in 2010.
Balfour Wines are known for their clean, fresh and precise style. Brilliantly clear colour, distinctive fruit on the nose and a wonderful balance of vibrant English acidity on the palate, giving way to a long mouth watering finish. Balfour wines boast balance, elegance, and personality.
Rulers Breed Rebels
Fitz is a sparkling wine from England, but not as you know it. Unlike your usual (Champagne style) Classic Method English Sparkling Wine, this fun, fruity fizz is Prosecco-like in taste and price.
With Prosecco sales continuing to boom, up 55% in value and 39% in volume in 2018, three clever wine enthusiasts sort to reclaim some of that territory with something similar but home-grown. And so, in 2016, Fitz was born.
This Charmat method wine – whereby the secondary fermentation is in tank, rather than bottle – is friendlier to both palate and pocket, appealing to those who love a fruit-led, fresh and easy drinking sparkling. And of course, the big added bonus: it comes from England!
WineGB Boutique Produce of the Year 2020 & 2021
Dermot Sugrue is one of England’s foremost sparkling winemakers, no list of top talent would leave him out. He makes wine for some of the very best producers in the UK.
Sugrue South Downs is Dermot’s very own premium boutique brand, producing wines beholden to no one but himself and the Gods of fate and weather.
It’s the secret crush, the most definitely not-guilty pleasure of many in the industry and becoming appreciated by connoisseurs everywhere, as far as the limited quantities will allow.
Produced in smaller quantities and highly sort after, Sugrue South Downs wines already hold a pretty legendary status - helping to explain back to back awards for the UK's Boutique Wine Producer at the WineGB awards in both 2020 and 2021.
